Composed for full orchestra and choir - with optional handbells in 2023- THE WINDS OF HOPE is also available for choir and piano, or choir and organ.

During these difficult times of political and global turmoil, the theme of hope resonates especially well during the Holidays.  The Winds of Hope embraces that hopeful spirit. The five-minute piece begins quietly with “the whispery winds of winter” and eventually transitions into a joyful, spirited section, with plenty of lively syncopation, that proclaims the welcome news and promise of Christmas.

Here are some excerpts from the lyrics:

In the whispery winds of winter, a seed of hope is born

Soft chimes ring gently on this eve of Christmas morn.

Our yearning souls are filled with hope that pain and war will cease.

We pray the dawn of Christmas lights our path to love and peace.

The winds of hope are now our breath and call us to proclaim

The news of comfort, peace and love this wondrous Christmas Day!

The winds of hope have come to bring us truth and radiant light

Let’s live this hope with hearts and hands with Christmas joy so bright!

The orchestration is available for rent. The instrumentation is 2+pic/2/2/2, 4/3/3/1, timp+2, celesta, strings, and SATB choir. There is a second version of this piece available with 5-octave handbell choir.

Choral scores (with piano or organ) are available for purchase.  TMR will send pdfs and you can print the copies you need. If you prefer hard copies, we will be happy to provide those.
